We are looking for Data Processing Software Engineer to work with us in a technology project and provide expert services in the graphic design domain for the Aerospace Industry and Social media branding.

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, or other distributions)
- Bash scripting for automation
- System performance monitoring and optimization
- Process management and debugging (e.g., top, htop, strace, lsof)
- Package management (apt, yum, pip, etc.)
- Networking fundamentals (e.g., SSH, firewalls, DNS)
- Strong Python programming skills
- Development of data processing pipelines
- Experience with scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas)
- Data serialization and transformation (JSON, XML, CSV, HDF5, NetCDF)
- API development and integration (Flask, FastAPI)
- Error handling and debugging techniques
Software Development & Best Practices
- Version Control (Git)
- Working with repositories (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
- Branching strategies (GitFlow, feature branching)
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Containerization & Virtualization
- Docker: writing Dockerfiles, managing images and containers
- Kubernetes: deployment and scaling of services (basic understanding)
- HTCondor expertise
- Database & Data Management
- SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Data ingestion and ETL pipeline development
Data Processing & System Engineering
- Data Processing Workflows
- Handling large-scale data ingestion and transformation
- Streaming and batch processing frameworks (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Apache Airflow)
- Experience with Microservices and APIs
- Designing scalable and maintainable software architectures
- Interfacing with external APIs
- Experience working with Earth Observation (EO), ocean color, or remote sensing data.
- Understanding of oceanographic, climatological, or meteorological data processing workflows.d
- Experience ensuring compliance with European Space data quality & validation standards (OC-DB, ECSS)
Soft Skills & Collaboration
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team (scientists, engineers, system administrators)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Documentation and code commenting (Sphinx, Markdown, Jupyter Notebooks)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new scientific computing challenges
- Willingness to travel ocassionally
