Obvious Ventures lands fund five with a 360-degree view of planetary, human, economic health

The 12-year-old firm raised $360,360,360 for its fifth fund. And there’s a reason for that number.

Blockit, an AI agent that communicates directly with other calendars, has raised $5 million in seed funding led by Sequoia.

The five-year-old-startup powers OpenAI’s ChatGPT voice mode and raised a $100 million round led by Index Ventures.

The seed round values the newly formed startup at $800 million.

SGLang, which originated as an open source research project at Ion Stoica’s UC Berkeley lab, has raised capital from Accel.

The $400 million round was led by Dragoneer.

The massive round was led by existing investor General Catalyst, with participation from other returning backers.

Bonatsos spent 15 years at GC, and until last year led the firm’s seed investing strategy.

The 25-year-old firm is an early investor in Anduril, Applied Intuition and Runway AI.
